Professor He obtained his Bachelor andMaster of Engineering degrees Extractive Metallurgy in
China, and a PhD in Chemical Engineering inAustralia. After completin g his PhD, heworked
at The University of Queensland and TheUniversity of Adelaide before joining James Cook
University (JCU) where he became a tenured full professor andserved as the Head of School of
Engineering and Physical Sciences at JCU from 2009 to 2014 .
Professor Yinghe He has keen interests in both fundamental andapplied research in a variety of
engineering areas including interfacialphenomena, formation of bubbles and droplets,
multiphase flow processes, production ofdesigner particles, innovative cathode materials for
lithium ion batteries and acid mistformation and control in an electrowinning tankhouse . He is
a Fellow of Institution of ChemicalEngineers (FIChemE) and Charted Engineer (CEng), and a
Fellow of Institution of Engineers Australia.
